KEYSVILLE, Ga. - Reginald R. Kent, 70, husband of Judy G. Kent, entered into rest Monday, November 2, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM today, Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Warrenton, Warrenton GA, with the Rev. Mike Dann and Dr. Charles Drummond officiating. Mr. Kent will lie-in-state for one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the City of Gibson Cemetery, Gibson GA. Born in Richmond County, Reginald spent most of his life in Glascock County. He graduated high school from Glascock County High School in 1957 after which he attended Southern Tech in Americus GA graduating as a heavy- equipment mechanic in 1960. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church, a Mason and a Shriner. Reginald was a true outdoorsman and especially loved fishing, farming and hunting. He had a passion for cooking, especially for his family and friends. His greatest love was for his family and was most content in their presence. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Robert Kent, and his parents, Cleo Newsome and William Branson Kent, Sr. Reginald's survivors include his children, Regina Kent Thompson, Mitchell GA, Jeff (Stacey) Kent, Warrenton GA, Stephanie C. (George) McGahee, Stapleton GA, and Byron (Allison) Crutchfield, Stapleton GA; his two brothers, Nolan Reid (Linda Sue) Kent, Warrenton GA, and William Branson (Jean) Kent, Jr., Warrenton GA; six grandchildren, Edward Bruce Thompson, Jr., Jeffrey Scott Kent, Jr., Michael Pierce Kent, Evan Crutchfield, Caree McGahee and Baylor Crutchfield; and many friends. Pallbearers will be Charles Gay, Delma Gunn, Randy Hayes, Jon Kent, Marvin Norman and Willis Stanley.
