PERKINS, Ga. - Juel Brinson Waters, age 79, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Bethany Nursing Home in Millen. She was born in Screven County and retired from Jockey International after 36 years of service. She was a member of Dry Branch Baptist Church in Perkins, a member of the W.M.U. at Dry Branch Baptist and a member of the Jockey Club. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Otis Walter and Annie Laura Smith Brinson. Survivors: Husband: Clarence J. 'C.J.' Waters of Perkins; Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Susan W. and Don Godbee and Dawn and Chris Patterson, all of Millen; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: David Waters of Millen and Clarence J. 'Jim' and Janie Waters of Perkins; Sisters: Rose B. Mays of Perkins, Caroline B. Clifton and Aurelia Ann 'F.A.' Black, both of Millen; Grandchildren: Wesley and Shana Godbee of Millen, Ashley Godbee of Millen, Kimberly and Jason Bennett of Millen, Heather and Craig Dyer of Blairsville, GA, Summer and Gary Melton of Tacoma, WA, C.J. and Ashley Waters of Statesboro, Anna Kate Waters of Anderson, SC, Katie Patterson of Hiawassee, GA, Jacob Patterson of Hiawassee, GA, Craig and Susan Godbee of Perry, GA and Hayley Green of Statesboro; 4 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. Visitation: Tuesday, November 3, 2009, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dry Branch Baptist Church in Perkins, GA. Funeral Services: Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 2:30 PM at the Dry Branch Baptist Church in Perkins, GA with Rev. Brad Boynton and Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial at Dry Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Waters will lie in state from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at the church.
