In an effort to prove that Fatah is just as radical and uncompromising as Hamas, the Palestinian Authority continues from one baseless libel against Israel to the next, all of which immediately make headlines. The most recent example is Amnesty International's accusations that Israeli settlers are taking water from the Palestinians.
This accusation is groundless. In fact, most of the settlements get their water piped in from inside the Green Line -- not, as Amnesty claims, from wells that belong to the Palestinians. According to the Oslo II accords, the Palestinians are entitled to 23.6 million cubic meters a year. However, the Palestinians actually pump, with Israeli consent, 70 million cubic meters. In addition, the Israeli Civil Administration supplies, over and above the Oslo requirements, water to villages that experience shortages.
Amnesty fails to ask where the millions of dollars that flowed to the Palestinian Authority for the construction of an efficient water system have vanished, or where the funds are that the World Bank provided for a sewage system that would protect the environment and prevent the seepage of wastewater into the aquifers.
So, instead of peaceful cooperation, an environmental nightmare is on the horizon.

As soon as Cain shows up to denigrate the Israelis some more (and you can count on it with his history of antisemitism) maybe he can answer this question FINALLY. Why does he feel that Israel has NO right to exist, yet he has no problem continuing to live on the land that HIS ancestors stole. Don't count on an answer though......he ALWAYS ignores questions that reveal he is wrong or hypocritical.
Why does the USA send $4,000,000,000.00 of aid to Isreal per year? Same goes for the $4 billion we send Egypt and Jordon. This mess will all be setteled the day we end our foreign aid.

Quoting from the report:
TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION UNDER THE OSLO ACCORDS
The Oslo Accords divided the West Bank into Areas A, B and C. In Areas A and B the Israeli army devolved responsibility to the Palestinian Authority (PA) for civil affairs, that is for providing services to the population. The two areas together include some 95 per cent of the Palestinian population of the West Bank
but account for only 40 per cent of the land. In Area C, the Israeli army retains full jurisdiction for all matters. This area accounts for 60 per cent of the West Bank, including all the West Bank land reserves and access to water resources, and all the main roads. Areas A and B are not contiguous but fragmented into enclaves surrounded by Israeli settlements, settlers' roads and Area C. These arrangements have impeded the development of an efficient water and sanitation infrastructure. Most Palestinians live in Areas A and B, but the infrastructure which serves them is located in or passes through Area C. Palestinians' movement in Area C is either restricted or denied, and construction or development activities are rarely permitted by
the Israeli army.
Shukran, Ya Akhi.
Nothing in the world is older and more tiresome to listen too than the eternal conflict in the Middle East. This country needs to get impartial in the Israeli and Palestinian conflict. Stop feeding the problem with arms, aid, loans guarantees, and stop running interference for Israel at the UN. Insist on Palestinian statehood along the boundaries of the Israeli state in 1950. Get out and stay out of the conflict. Let Israel, the Palestinian and the regional neighbors settle it.
