Thelma A. Goodwin  (TRENTON, S.C.)

TRENTON, S.C. - Mrs. Thelma Adams Goodwin, 80, of Mt. Zion Road, entered into rest October 28, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2009, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Goodwin, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church where she served on the deaconess ministry and senior choir ministry. Survivors include three daughters, Debra (John) Griffin, Doris L. Goodwin and Vernell D. Goodwin; four sons, Nathan (Mildred) Goodwin, Benjamin (Atlee) Goodin, Norman (Sharon) Goodwin and Timothy V. Goodwin; seven sisters, Beatrice Mance, Ophelia Little, Sophia (Johnny) Bowman, Johnnie L. (Otis) Yeldell, Earline Scurry, Rosa Lee Mosley and Pernell (William) Ray; one brother, Willie H. (Frances) Adams; two sisters-in-law, Carrie (Levi) McKie and Virginia Goodwin; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
