Virginia Byrd (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Virginia Byrd of Blackstone Street entered into rest on Monday, October 26, 2009 at Trinity Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 1 p.m. at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Ways Grove Baptist Church, Jefferson County. Mrs. Byrd, a native of Jefferson, Co., was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and was retired from Kendall Company. Survivors are three devoted sons, (George) Thomas, Sandra (Leodis) McKenzie, Augusta; two devoted sisters, Luella (George) Thomas, Sandra (Leodis) McKenzie, Augusta; seven grandchildren; devoted niece, Stephanie (Steve) Daniels; devoted nephew, Eugene Thomas; several other nieces, nephews and relatives.
