FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - Stephen Hogan Boatwright, age 77, of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. He was born in Augusta, GA on December 17, 1931 to Norman I. Boatwright of Macon, GA and Julia Hogan of Norfolk, VA. He served his country in the US Army and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, a United Nations Service Medal and a Korean Service Medal. He was a long time employee of United Lighting Inc. in Destin and Fort Walton Beach. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Katie Peavy Boatwright. He is survived by his daughter, Mary L. Campbell and husband, John; his two sons, Sean B. Maney and his wife, Ranae, and Stephen H. Maney; three step-children, William C. Hickman and wife, Dedra, Sheila L. Roberts, and Bobby J. Forbes and husband, Dan; ten grandchildren, Tim Maney, Kaedi Maney, John Bassett Jr., Rachel Malone, Ritchie Roberts, Joshua Hickman, Amanda Nicole Thurston, Stephanie Hickman, Dicie Hickman and Stacie Hickman; nine great-grandchildren.
