CASARES, Spain --- Anthony Kim advanced to the semifinals of the World Match Play Championship to play Robert Allenby, despite losing to Scott Strange by three holes on Friday.

Strange needed to beat Kim by at least four holes to advance and was 4-up going into the 568-yard par-5 18th, which Kim won.

Kim finished with an aggregate of plus-4 holes to Strange's plus-3 after three Group A matches.

Allenby beat former Augusta State golfer Oliver Wilson, of England, by three holes to set up a Presidents Cup rematch, where Kim won easily. Kim made bigger headlines then after being called a loose cannon by Allenby and for reportedly staying out late before their match, which Kim denied.

"I'm going to be in bed by 9:30," Kim said Friday.

Masters Tournament champion Angel Cabrera also reached the semifinals, where he'll play Ross Fisher.

CHAMPIONS TOUR: In Sonoma, Calif., John Cook shot a tournament-record 10-under-par 62 to take a three-stroke lead over Tom Watson and Phil Blackmar after the second round of the Champions Tour's season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship.

Augusta native Larry Mize had 66 and is tied for seventh place.

EUROPEAN TOUR: In Singapore, Daniel Chopra shot 6-under-par 65 to move into a three-way tie with Ian Poulter and Chan Yih-shin at the rain-plagued Singapore Open.

Chopra is at 7-under, as are Poulter and Chan, who failed to finish their second round because of darkness.

LPGA TOUR: In Incheon, South Korea Anna Grzebien and Meaghan Francella each shot 6-under-par 66 for a share of the first-round lead at the LPGA Tour's KOLON Championship.

PGA TOUR: In Madison, Miss., PGA Tour officials were weighing whether to cancel the Viking Classic after it was postponed for the second consecutive day because of heavy rain and poor course conditions. The tournament could be postponed until next week.
