I agree. Let's keep proven leadership.
Much has been said in the local media about removing all of our current commissioners and starting from scratch in the pursuit of a more functional government. While this seems to be a viable plan, I feel the need to stand up for a sitting commissioner who is worth keeping.
Joe Bowles has proved to me that he understands what this great city is facing, and will make unpopular, yet necessary, decisions to keep the county on an even keel. He is willing to stand alone against waste and government intrusion, and will work with all sides to get this city moving.
His past ideas have been rooted in common sense and principle, not public opinion. He will make the choices that need to be made, regardless of votes or friendships, and is a proven leader. That is a rarity in this town, and the Libertarian Party of the CSRA is proud to endorse Joe Bowles for District 3.

Joe Bowles has thrown his support behind the Chronic Nusance Property Ordinance. He sees the importance of it in cleaning up our inner city neighborhoods. The third generation landlords are hating the possibility of this. Augusta finally has some new blood emerging, and people are getting excited at the possibilities. We look forward to working with Joe after the election. He has the correct vision.
My only problem with Bowles is his stance on TEE, but by and large, he is right on most other issues.. and his support of the CNPO is reason enough to keep him on the commission
He has given several reasons for our endorsement, but there is no perfect candidate. He deserves a second term.
