and why does health care reform not include tort reform?? make loser pay that would cut out a lot of nusiance lawsuits. and why does all reform exclude our public officials. and why all the secrecy and closed door meetings. and what about actually reading bills they pass. and the pay czar why not one for our polticians after all we are broke and going deeper in debt what make them exempt????????? the list could goe on and on

The Dems also say that want a public option to increase competition, but they are against selling health insurance across state lines which will incrase competition. Dems say they want something, but only if it is their version.

As a nation, we must speak out against the current congress. Vote for change we can live with in 2010.

I'm certainly not the chairmen of the local democratic party, but I can promise ms. kershner that nobody can answer her questions to her satisfaction. The questions are loaded with far too many assumptions for anyone to know what the woman is talking about.

EVERY independent analysis of the health care reform bills before Congress conclude that costs will be higher than costs of healthcare with no reform. If the costs will be higher, then the answer to Ms. Kershner's second question is, "No." The increased costs directly associated with health care reform will be paid by today's taxpayers and tomorrow's taxpayers and the taxpayers of future generations.

I wonder if anyone asked question #2 during the SS debate back when?

Your great-great-great grandparents may have been slaves but who sold them into slavery in the first place? Slavery has been a part of man-kind since the beginning of time. Africans today still sell other Africans into slavery.As do others in other parts of the world. However, I will answer one of the questions for you. Yes, you are still a slave. I think this is a good letter but it hasn't gone far enough. I would like to ask ALL of our congressmen this questions. I think it is pretty fair to say that almost all those in Washington, D.C. are career criminals -er politicians. That means both parties. There has been plenty of time to fix what is broken; it hasn't happened. It is time to set limits, get rid of what is there, and demand that our representatives start doing what their constituents want, not what our representatives think we need.

Here's a chunk of truth- if you look at the 1900 and 1910 censes, almost all adult blacks were married. There were very few single parent households, and education and morals were stressed. Family life was very important, and the vast majority of black men worked and were not incarcerated.

I don't think it's in this nation's interest to pledged fealty to Israel. And being in bed with Israel is the reason Muslin zealots attack us. America's interest would be better served by getting impartial in that endless Israeli and Palestinian conflict. Let them have fun and solve it themselves. Stay out, stay away and shut up! So the Democratic silence is refreshing and very different from the last failures on the scene.

AWyld1 - I doubt Israel is going to wipe out the Palestinians anymore than the Nazis wiped out the Jews. And threatening a radioactive dust cloud sounds like Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton's jabber. They may like to kill each other but they're rational people and both sides can be forced to a compromise.
