Maybe they should let Burke County play in the AAAA play-offs.They won just as many games as some of the other teams or better yet maybe they should go back to playing"JEFFERSON COUNTY"and get a true test of their worth!!!
Several region championships are on the line this week for area Georgia teams.
The winner of the following games should decide the region champion: Lincoln County at Wilkinson County and Washington County at Baldwin. Also, Jefferson County can clinch the Region 3-AA title with a win over Screven County. The Warriors close the regular season at third-place Dublin.
Most area South Carolina regions have been decided. This is the last week of the regular season for Class AAA and smaller.
STAT GAMES: Washington County did not complete a pass in its 44-31 win over Burke County but dominated the game offensively. Washington County rushed for 443 yards on 50 attempts in one of the more noteworthy offensive line performances you will see.
BIG GAMES THIS WEEK
7:30 P.M. FRIDAY
REGION 3-AA
Screven County (5-4, 5-4) at Jefferson County (8-0, 8-0): A quirky schedule means this is the final game of the regular season for Screven County. A shocking win could deliver the Gamecocks a playoff bid, but they also will need some help.
REGION 3-AAA
Baldwin (6-2, 4-0) at Washington County (8-0, 4-0): Both teams are ranked among the 10 best in Class AAA. Baldwin won 14-12 last year on its way to a perfect regular-reason record.
Thomson (2-6, 1-3) at Burke County (5-3, 1-3): As strong as Burke County started the season, it's hard to believe it could miss the playoffs. Thomson has lost four in a row.
REGION 3-AAAA
Hephzibah (6-2, 6-1) at Richmond Academy (5-3, 5-2): Both teams are coming off region losses. Hephzibah needs a win to keep pace with the other two teams tied atop the region.
Cross Creek (3-5, 3-4) at Evans (7-1, 6-1): The Razorbacks posted the biggest upset in the region this year by knocking off Richmond Academy last week. They will try again against the region's hottest team.
SOUTH CAROLINA
Midland Valley (7-2, 3-1) at South Aiken (4-5, 3-1): Both teams are playoff-bound; the winner of this game will play host to a first-round game next week.

Here we go again. punter46 is feeling good about playing a weak schedule. If you feel so good about your Warriors, why don't y'all move up to AAA. That's like UGA bragging about beating 1 AA teams. After realignment though, y'all might just end up in AAA. Let's see how y'all fare in the playoffs!
Wow WACO didn't complete a single pass! I guess BC has a really good pass defense? I guess they will have another shot at stopping another running team again this week.
We should be okay the next two weeks, and I emphasize should. Thomson is probably going to run all night, I just don't think they have the talent to beat my Bears. It all depends on what type of game our coaches decide to call. If they call the type game they did against Statesboro and WACO, and by that I mean not relying primarily on the run, this game should be over fairly early. If not this game is going to be too close for comfort. Go Bears. Dominate the Dogs.
