HER STORY
Mrs. Blount remembers how devastating the news was.
She handed the phone to her husband and collapsed to the floor. The support of her family and the other women she met who were experiencing the same thing got her through the experience.
She credits Mr. Blount with a lot of support.
"We've always been tight," she said.
He would let her be when she needed to be.
"He was always there to pick me up," she said.
HER ADVICE
"Don't think you are the only one going on with this," she said. "Talking to the ones that are taking chemo along with you helps a lot. You find out how they feel as well."
