MARRIAGE STINKS
WHAT: Sometimes marriage stinks, the Rev. Chuck Gordon says. Sometimes it breaks and sometimes it needs a hand. Starting this week, two churches, including his, Greenbrier Church, will tackle the subject with sermons, free workshops and resources.
TAKE ONE : Greenbrier Church, which meets at Evans 14 Stadium Cinemas, has launched a Web site to promote a sermon series that runs through Nov. 1. The site, WhenMarriageStinks.com, allows viewers to submit anonymous questions. Services are held at 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Sundays.

TAKE TWO: A free fall marriage seminar starts today at Central Church of Christ, 3650 Old Petersburg Road, featuring Mitch Temple, the director of marriage programs for Focus on the Family. He also is a licensed marriage and family therapist. Topics include Marriage Myths and Healthy Conflict. The session runs from 6-9 p.m. today and 9 -11 a.m. Sunday. Child care will be provided.
