I think that we should all be concerned while we wait for a guy who has only voted "present" his entire life to make a decision concerning an ongoing military situation where soldiers are dying every day.

The general said he didn't know at the time that Tillan had died from fraticide. That in and of itself is justification for removal from command. The commander is responsible for knowing the events leading to the death of all soldiers under him. And for him to hurry up a solver star award just reeks of cover up for those of us who have served. By the way Gen Mac was in charge last week when we lost a bunch of guys for Pi$$ poor planning of where to put a fire support base, but he hasn't been relieved. That base was attacked because it was surrounde by mountains providing perfect firing points for the enemy. Only an idiot would have placed the vase where it was located.

Disssman, I am reasonably certain that you do not know that George Washington was guilty of the same thing. I can't remember whether it was during the French and Indian War or the Revolutionary. His one and only fort design was in a valley surrounded by higher ground.

overburdened, one person can't solve every problem at a large corporation are you kidding me. I take it you have only worked at very small businesses or are self employed. Nothing wrong with that but large corporations have hundreds of people involved in things at one time oen person can't just snap their fingers and fix all that. You are right you should come with solutions but you have to get the executives involved in major stuff. Trust me on that one. Can you imagine a E5 at Ft Gordon ordering changes to the entire base. He may have a great suggestion but he needs to handle it properly.

When our troops are dying, I would think that the situation ifn Afghanistan would be BimbObama's TOP priority (especially after saying it was a war of necesssity). Your comparing Gen McC' s sitrep to an E-5's suggestion merely shows your "depth" of knowledge of the military. Guess I am wrong-political hay with health care reform/vote buying is far more important, right
