AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, October 3, 2009 at her residence, Mrs. Louise Gilbert Screen of Allen Street. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Memorial Park with Reverend Dr. Jerry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Screen was a native of Burke County, Georgia, at an early age she moved with her family to Richmond County. She received her secondary education at the Immaculate Conception High School. Mrs. Screen was a faithful Christian and a loyal member of Palmer Grove Baptist Church, Hephzibah, GA. She was a supervisor at Blount's Park, retiring from the Richmond County Recreation and Parks Department after 35 years of service. Survivors are two sons, William Screen Sr., Lynchburg, VA and Glenn Screen, Augusta; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Frances Gilbert; former daughter-in-law, Shirley Screen; two nephews, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
