What's fall without a festival?
Across Georgia and South Carolina, harvest festivals draw people to the streets in celebration of all things fall.
Most events feature arts and crafts, food and music, pie and pumpkins (in towns such as Pumpkintown, S.C., no less), but others draw inspiration from Germany's Oktoberfest or even colonial times. The bigger events also include fireworks, parades, car shows and beauty pageants.
