LEXINGTON, S.C. --- Quarterback Loranzo Hammonds had a perfect passing night as unbeaten North Augusta tuned up for next week's showdown with Irmo by routing White Knoll 40-21 on Friday night.

Hammonds hit all 10 of his passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Hammonds also led the Yellow Jackets in rushing with 64 yards on five carries.

North Augusta plays host to Irmo, which beat Aiken 41-10 on Friday, next Friday in a Region 5-AAAA clash. North Augusta and Irmo are 2-0 in region play.

Troy Griffith and Jonathan Finch supplied the offensive firepower as Evans handed Butler its 36th consecutive defeat.

Griffith hit 5 of 8 passes for 116 yards and two scores and also had a rushing touchdown in the Region 3-AAAA game.

Finch had 158 yards rushing, including a 63-yard TD run.

Butler scored its touchdown on B.J. Williams' 40-yard fumble return.

The Bulldogs' losing streak could end a week from today when they visit winless Josey for a 3 p.m. game.

SWAINSBORO, Ga. --- Jefferson County's B.J. Bostic hit Chester Stone on two fourth-quarter touchdown passes Friday night, including the game-winner in the final minute.

The duo hooked up on a 12-yard touchdown pass with 32 seconds left as the Warriors beat Swainsboro 18-14 on Friday night in a battle of unbeatens.

The game-winning drive started on the Jefferson County 12 with 4:06 left in the game and Swainsboro leading 14-11.

Bostic, who split time with Stone at quarterback, hit 6 of 6 passes on the 13-play drive.

Bostic passed for 132 yards and rushed for 120 for the Warriors (6-0. 6-0 Region 3-AA). Stone had 43 yards passing and caught three passes for 65 yards.

Swainsboro is 4-1 overall and 4-1 in the region. The Tigers were led by Malcolm Eady, who had 100 yards rushing and 56 passing.
