THINK PINK BANQUET. Kris Carr, the author of Crazy, Sexy Cancer Tips and Crazy, Sexy Cancer Survivor, is the featured speaker at the Think Pink Banquet on Oct. 13 at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Ms. Carr is an actress and model best known as a "Bud Girl" in Super Bowl commercials. She was 31 in 2003 when she learned she had a rare, incurable stage IV cancer in her liver and lungs. A documentary on The Learning Channel followed her battle with cancer. She wrote the book Crazy, Sexy, Cancer Tips to offer other patients "advice from the trenches."
