AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Edna Brown, of Lucie Street, entered into rest on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. at First Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Willie James officiating. Remains will be conveyed to Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a native of Tela Honduras, retired from the Health Care Profession after 27 years of service employed by Hebrew Hospital, Bronx, N.Y., and a member of the Local Union 144 and 1199. She was a member of First Shiloh Baptist Church and a member of the Brigham Senior Citizen Community Center. Survivors are her son, Basil V. (Delores) Jarrett, Augusta; two sisters, Mariana Lyons, Rosedale, N.Y., Margarett Williams, Hempstead, Long Island; grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
