Right-wing letter writer is not alone

I always look forward to the repeated, rabid, right-wing, Republican ranting in Robert Smock's well-written letters to the editor ("Obama pushes takeover through czars," Sept. 23).

I have a mental picture of him diligently writing away -- with his television on Fox News, Rush Limbaugh blabbing away on the radio in the background and old Augusta Chronicle editorials scattered around the floor. I can see the dreamy look on his face as he gives his autographed photo of Ann Coulter a kiss before retiring and peacefully falling asleep with a Weekly Standard clutched tightly to his chest.

Mr. Smock is not alone -- and that is a frightening thought.

So, James Connell, you DO know that you don't have to absorb only the filtered partial news you seem to prefer. Well, none are so blind as those who won't see. This country's laws currently allow choice.

carcraft

Mr Connell, sitting in his home watching Keith Oberman on one television with his other televison playing Micheal Moore movies. Leaning over every once in a while to kiss pictures of Obama. Mr Connell then falls into a deep sleep listening to Obama speaches as he shares a moment of leg tingles with Chris Mathhews! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

goody

And you sir, are not alone in your left left left wing fantasy land, And thats is much more frightening! I like many, and I believe most Americans have no extreme political beliefs in either direction, We are caught between loonies from both sides. I can imagine you keep a photo of Pelosi under your pillow, Have a great day.

overburdened_taxpayer

carcraft - don't forget his daily recital of the ever so popular song "Mmm, mm, mm Barack Hussein Obama."

xanadu

No, Mr. Connell, what is a much more frightening thought is that there are additional bazzas out there just like YOU.
carcraft: good one again! you should have written that as a LTE

James Connell: You may embrace everything the big O stands for, but the majority of us do not. Obviously, you do not understand that governments who take over private businesses and corporations evolve into dictatorships that enslave all citizens who are not in power. Under those circumstances, citizens who fail to do the bidding of governmental officials are tortured, murdered, imprisoned--if you don't believe that, take a good look at those existing communistic countries.

The only coherent statement he made was that Mr. Smock is not alone. the numbers are rapidly rising of those who are becoming aware of the left wing agenda. Too bad Mr.Connell continues to be an ostrich with his head in the sand. It has to be increasingly hard to chant the leftist party line given the daily revelations of the O'bama (and acorn) plan for this country....giving 2 and 1/2 million to Khadefy isn't very intelligent with the number of welfare cases, rising unemployment, and the amount of debt Barrack is accumulating...Other than his endorsement I wonder what else he recieved from Omar...

Mr. Connell is hoping the government will take care of his medical care. Delusions are treatable, but he doesn't want to pay for health insurance.

SoonerorLater

Yesterdays Rasmussen poll shows 56% disapprove of the health care plan, 43% approve. Shows that when people are aware of the facts they can make an educated decision, the current HR3200 will NOT pass in its current form. With the Dems writing multiple proposals, it seems as if we now have the health care bill-de-jour. Lets add the Mr. Connell has downloaded the video of school children singing the praise to Hussein and he now knows all the words. What would happen if there was a video of children singing the praise of Bush? CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, Daily Kos and the HP would be completely playing this all over their "news" casts. Shows the bias in their "news" reporting.

And these liberal people like Connell vote -- that is a frightening thought.

dashiel

Don't just do something, STAND there! Another angry chorus brought to you by Depends Packers For Truth (DPFT) "We Support Wealthcare and a Redistribution of Health."

iknowitwheniseeit

I'd say the posts above support Mr. Connell's point!

Riverman1

I'd say the letter supports the crowd that wants the government to pay for their Preparation H.

James, my friend. You need to be frightened because Conservative's will come out of the weeds to vote in 2010. Be afraid, be very afraid. You Leftist are not giving this country to Chavez or Quadaffi.

MrAlwaysRight

My Dad died so that freedom of speech would not perish from this Earth. Mom often used the phrase "Freedom means anyone can speak their mind, even if what they say is absolutey detestable." I don't agree with a lot of what is done and said today, but I will defend to the death the right for those to say and do it. Freedom is why people STILL flock to our country. Freedom is why, no matter how tough it may seem, America will always be the greatest country on Earth. Lose our freedom, we will make the sacrifices of our forefathers worthless.

Apox, Neocons are weeds and frankly they should have more weed because they are too scared and uptight. And what is your fascination with loser type leaders around the globe. I know, losers stick together. And the black socks and sandals thing? Too much of the old type bad movies in your past? And liberals do vote and frankly won by more than 8 million in the last election for President. And your party has no leader to run in the next election. Nobody. The last guy they found for the job was a bust too!

FaceTheMusic

Witty letter.

Good point CETIPro. In the meantime, the Obama CMS is telling medicare advantage providers that they will be prosecuted if they reveal their medicare is about to be pared way back. So much for the first amendment.

WhippingPost

WHOA there Niko, it's just a little early for the ole chianti jug, isn't it?

CobaltGeorge

Niko Mahs - Don't you realize that if the present president was doing everything in his power to protect the freedom of the people of this USA, honor the constitution, bring the value of the American dollar above the value of the 3rd world countries, secure us against foreign countries that want to destroy us and not lie about everything, 95% of the citizens of this great nation would consider him a very good president and support him. For some reason, these facts are all BS in your mind.

Niko Mahs

I'm not the delusional worry-wort there Whipper Snapper. What are you scared of today? Is it just that your party is leaderless and you have to listen to Faux and Fatso for your talking points?Who is going to run in 2012? Somebody who whines and complains and then self-destructs because they have no values that they are trying to sell? So now we must all be scared again! That worked in 2004, but it did not in 2008. Now all you folks can do is sit on your hands and complain like spoiled little children. Wow.

Niko Mahs

And Cobalt, your facts are the same in your mind. But remember that I am not the scared and afraid poster here. You are! And I am not the one looking for his sorry party to get back into power, you are. And the reason that you are not in power is because when you were, your party screwed things up royally. That's the sole reason why Obama is President, because Bush/Cheney ruined this country and really could not protect us that well either.

apex24

Mash, spoiled children!!!!! Why did you run away last night after those stupid comments that were removed. You really are a chicken -----.

CobaltGeorge

So everybody that has intelligence and common sense should all shut up, set back and let it all happen and then be scared and self-destruct. I have no idea who is going to run in 2012 but it better be someone with the same standards of our founding fathers.

apex24

Mash, just in case you missed it last night....Mash, Mash, Mash, Mash, what is wrong with you!!! Have you been mixing alcohol and antidepressants again. Please don't show these people how truly idiotic you are with your silly remarks. Go get your black socks and your sandals on and get your significant other and take a walk around the block and get your thoughts together. I'm sorry I forgot, it's already to cold in Ohio to take an evening walk. Well, I guess y'all can watch those adult movies with the wine and cheese you love some much. Y'all have fun 'ya hear. in case you missed it last night....

mad_max

Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm, Barrack Hussein Obama. He lied each day. "No taxes" he say. Now we see they're own the way. Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm, Barack Hussein Obama. "Not taxes, they're fees". Feels like taxes to me. Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm, Barrack Hussein Obama. "Trust me" he say, "with your healthcare, okay?". But now we see he will take it away. Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm, Barrack Hussein Obama. "I'm a christian" he say. Prayer day went away. And the muslims came to town to pray. Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm, Barrack Hussein Obama. "Win Afganistan" he say but more troops? "NO WAY". Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm, Barrack Hussein Obmama. "Close GITMO" he say. It's still open today. Now he says it won't go away. Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm, Barrack Hussein Obama.

KSL

Niko, you are obsessed with thinking conservatives are fearful. What is with that? About every post you make has something about that. Also yesterday I believe you said something about polite discourse, something to that effect. However, it wasn't long before you were back at the name calling. I also have to wonder why you devote so much time to commenting about people you profess to disdain who live in area of the country you despise and constantly put down. Do you know the poster eel? You remind me a lot of her.

KSL

Except, probably not as faux educated.

Niko Mahs

Apox, I can't stay up all night listening to you whine and complain. I have to get my beauty sleep so I can do 18 today where the leaves are starting to turn. We've got more than just pine trees.

Were you Spotted?
