Tarver is fine choice for U.S. Attorney

I just read the on-line article about state Sen. Ed Tarver's nomination as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia. I also perused a few of the comments that accompanied the piece.

It has been quite a long time since I've interacted with Sen. Tarver. However, for those citizens concerned that he might be a "mouthpiece," let me assure you that I have never known the senator to be anyone's puppet. In my experience, Sen. Tarver has always embraced the highest standards and ethics. The Southern District of Georgia would be fortunate to have such a man in its service.

My heartfelt congratulations go out to Sen. Tarver and his family. What an honor to be singled out by the president of the United States. The people of Georgia, and especially Augusta, should be proud to have Ed Tarver fighting on their side.

Although I don't agree with his politics I think he will do well and represent all Georgians in the capacity of US Attorney for the Southern District.

So Mr. Tarver is now the keeper of all the files about previous prosecutions and non prosecutions. Just a thought.

Where is Justus4 complaining that this is a racist appointment? I mean, what about all the qualified white people that were passed over for this position by our AA president? Surely this is a racially-motivated, unfair appointment? All this racist nonsense aside, I think Mr. Tarver will do a great job, and I'm happy for him! Sounds like a good and competent fellow.
