COLUMBIA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Evangelist Rita M. Stidem will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Pine Hill Baptist Church, Johnston, SC, with the Rev. Jerome Coleman, Pastor and the Rev. Larry Raiford, Eulogist. Interment will be in the Bacon Chapel F.B.H. Burial Grounds. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Amos & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Johnston, SC. She was employed for many years with the SC Commission for the Blind. She is survived by her husband, Bennie Stidem, Jr., of the home, Columbia, SC; a son, Marty Stidem (Trina), Johnston, SC; brothers, Jack Jenkins, Jr. (Edna), Renard Jenkins, and Randy Jenkins, all of Hollywood, SC; sisters, Margaret Wright, Jessica Gadsen (Edward), and Blondell Forrest, all of Hollywood, SC, Jeanie Geathers and Claretha Brown (Cecil), both of Bronx, NY, Rebecca Roberts, Summerville, SC, and Ethel Richardson (Roosevelt), Houston, TX; an aunt, Sadie King, Hollywood, SC; two grandchildren, Tyree and Jordyn Stidem; two goddaughters, Taylor Rister and Autumn Delaney.
