This letter defends right wing rhetoric and Fox. LOL
In response to the embarrassed Hal Irish ("Republicans' conduct is appalling," Sept. 14), I can only say: Take a look in the mirror.
When liberals shout, it's free speech. When conservatives shout, it's hate speech. When liberals compare Republicans to Hitler, it's expression. When conservatives call Democrats socialists, it's intimidation. Perhaps Irish has forgotten the Bush years that were filled with vitriol from the liberals.
Take a look in the mirror. Liberals are pushing us further toward the type of government control that exists in Britain, yet Irish claims Democratic affiliation based on distaste of British rule. I've got news for him. The Democrats are rich and powerful. Republicans represent those who don't want what little they've earned funneled to the government. Mainstream media are slanted left, so give Fox News a rest.
As for caring for others, surely Irish has heard that study after study show that conservatives give far more than liberals. Liberals just talk about giving. If we rid ourselves of all the rich and powerful, I'd like Irish to tell me who will employ us, thus allowing us to give to charity? Him? I think not.
Irish worships Truman and Kennedy? It's 2009, so I ask him: Who really wants status quo?

Both parties have turned into an utter disgrace. Instead of saying "This is how we feel, and why, and this is what we propose", it's attack-attack-attack. Lie, lie, lie. Take out of context. Disgregard the truth. Smear, smear, smear. Accuse, accuse, accuse. It's disgusting.
I say take it one step further; Liberals are pushing us further over the edge into an abyss that will result in the ruination of this Country. Just look at the disgrace of a President they elected. He stands in front of the UN and bad mouths his predecessor so he can score points with our enemies. He's connected to several communist and socialist (Marxist) organizations that are America haters. His Loyal Left follow him blindly through his lies, rants and rhetoric that true Americans who work hard, pay taxes and believe in the values of our forefathers have to listen to everyday. This movement led by their Messiah sickens the people who have to watch his antics and know that this type of far left leadership will fail. I hope the mesmerized voters who thought they had a leader would lead them into prosperity realize that everyday we see his lies exposed and his incompetence manifest itself into the pathetic pile of garbage we are now faced with. His failed programs, his association with lowlife groups like ACORN and his bowing down to the terrorist leaders that attacked this Country will now hopefully wake up and choose a leader that will get this nation back on track.
