North Augusta's Scott Brown and David Robinson, of Sandersville, Ga., are tied for third after Thursday's second round of the eGolf Professional Tour's Walnut Creek Open.
Brown (66) and Robinson (67) are at 9-under 132, five shots behind leader Dustin Bray (67) in the event played at par-71 Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, N.C., and par-70 Kinston Country Club in Kinston, N.C.
Three other golfers with area ties -- Kevin Kisner (68), Will Claxton (69) and Cortland Lowe (70) -- are tied for 19th at 136.
Jay Haas Jr. (65) is tied for 27th at 137.
Emmett Turner (66) and Jeffrey Goff (70) are tied for 36th at 138, while Dane Burkhart (65) and Stephen Poole (67) are tied for 45th at 139.
Scott Usher was disqualified.
Today's final round will be played at Walnut Creek.
LPGA TOUR: In San Diego, Song-Hee Kim and Jiyai Shin each shot 6-under-par 66 to share the lead atop the elite 20-player field in the opening round of the Samsung World Championship at Torrey Pines.
Top-ranked Lorena Ochoa and Sophie Gustafson were one stroke behind the leaders.
EUROPEAN TOUR: In Oberwaltersdorf, Austria, Benn Barham, of England, shot 8-under-par 63 to lead the Austrian Open by one after the opening round.
Former Augusta State golfer Gary Murphy opened with 68.
NATIONWIDE TOUR: In Boise, Idaho, former Georgia Southern golfer Blake Adams shot 8-under-par 63 to take a one-stroke lead after the opening round of the Boise Open. Jonathan Kaye is second at 64.
Sam Saunders, Arnold Palmer's grandson, opened with 71 in his pro debut.
