Mr. Kelly is credited for discovering 15-year-old Aaliyah and recording her debut album, Age Ain't Nothing But a Number , in 1994.

Since 2005 he released, in chapters, an extended form music video, Trapped In the Closet . Mr. Kelly is touring in support of a new album, Untitled , scheduled for an Oct. 13 release.

In 1977, a plane carrying the band crashed near Gillsburg, Miss., killing lead singer and principal songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines and back-up singer Cassie Gaines.

The band reformed for a single gig in 1979 and then on a permanent basis, with Mr. Van Zant's younger brother, Johnny, taking over as lead vocalist in 1987.

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. It continues to tour and record, with Mr. Van Zant and founding member Gary Rossington at its core.

The band will be touring in support of a new album, God and Guns , scheduled for a Sept. 29 release.

This is great for Augusta...some more entertainment and it can bring in some revenue!

It's good to see more promotion at the auditorium. The $60 tickets are still a little tough to cover.

"Mr. Kelly is credited for discovering 15-year-old Aaliyah and recording her debut album, Age Ain't Nothing But a Number , in 1994."

Mr. Kelly is also credited for raping a 14 year old girl. He even videotaped it. Have we forgotten about that?

No the people haven't forgotten. But he was acquitted have you forgotten about that.

PendaFlex

Credited for raping a 14 year old girl? Credited?????

If you don't like either R Kelly or Skynrd then don't go to the show; enough with the condemnation of people you know nothing about...Acquitted means let it go, unless you were there...

Educate yourself on the trial. he got off because of money. All you can hope is that your children and their families are not as easily swayed by the almighty dollar.
there was video proof that this man [filtered word] on and had sex with an underage girl. you can deny it all you want, but it is what it is. if the same situation happened to Joe Blow, he'd be under the jail. and if he were acquitted, hell would be raised.

but, no. you simpletons just wanna dance to another dumb*** song. kelly would not get a dime from me. lavish-living rapist.

I guess OJ wasn't guilty either.

in addition to "discovering" Aallyah, he also MARRIED HER at that young age, then when the word got out he quickly had the marriage annulled (with her parents knowledge and approval)
