Dems' health care will pass -- no lie

The Democrats could have passed this outrageous stupid bill without the republicans but thank God some were smart enough not to, no lie. The govt. is deplorable at running health care now for the Vetrans, medicare and medicade are almost bankrupt along with Social Security. The USPS will loose 9 billion in 2009 but the Democratic Congress just gave the CEO of the post office a nice bonus for the year. Rampant fraud in EBT cards, section 8, etc. and tax rebate checks mailed to convicts in jail. Yeah, we really need the government to take over health care in America. The republicans aren't lying when they say changes are needed they are just smart enough to know the govt. does not even need to edge towards a govt. run health care program no matter who is in office, even a republican. If Obama and the Dems want to do something positive for the country, how about trying to bring anyting under their control into budget while having it actually function properly. Help our vetrans first and if you can get their health care right then maybe offer to help the rest of us. Better yet, work on reducing the 9 Trillion defecit being created by Obama, Pelosi, Frank, and Dodd - Idiots.

Watching the CNN ticker last night, nothing in the bill prevents illegal aliens from recieving health care and they are included in the uninsured numbers, that's no lie Greenbaum!

It takes allot of money for doctors to run their practices. I wonder how many can afford to, float the bill, while they are waiting for the government to pay for their services? Watch the hospitals and Doctors offices be flooded with people, and the government will not be able to handle the paper work and payment process. How are the Hospitals and Doctors offices going to float the bills?

The writer correctly identifies the approach of the other side to stop health care reform and their history tells the story: Opposed the creation of The Social Security Act 1930s; Opposed Civil Rights in 1960s; Opposed voting Rights for African-Americans 1960s; Opposed the establishment of MLK Day (Ronald Regan)1980s; Opposed sanctions against South Africa for apartheid 1990s; Opposed the increase of a living wage 2000s; and now opposed to the overhaul of health care. Just from a humane standpoint, republicans are rarely working towards "A More Perfect Union."

When I graduated from U of I at Champaign Urbana in '71 it was a very liberal school with liberal ideas. I was a young fool and thought the point of view had merit. When I became a self-employed adult, I learned that the liberal ideas were for children that hadn't learned responsibility yet. Some of us grow up and some just grow older. The choice is ours.
