AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Sarah Leysath, 59, of 325 Haven Place, entered into rest August 15, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced. Mrs. Leysath was a member of Church of God, Johnston, S.C., where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Mass Choir, and Prayer Band. Mrs. Leysath was a 1969 graduate of W.E. Parker High School. Survivors include her husband, Henry Leysath; six sisters, Annie Louise Thornton, Bronx, N.Y., Annie D. Morton, Aiken, S.C., Tina Jones, Gertie Richardson, Annie (Willie) Williams, and Jeannie (Jimmy) Lamar, all of Johnston, S.C.; four brothers, L.D. Anthony, Saluda, S.C., Edward Richardson, Montmorenci, S.C., Alonzo (Ann) Walker, Ashville, N.C., and Bishop Charles (Ella) Booker, Johnston, S.C.; and other relatives.
