PENDLETON, S.C. - Annie "Bet" Beatrice Hilley, 79, of 320 Sitton Drive, widow of Rev. John Robert Hilley, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her residence. Born February 10, 1930 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late William Isaac and Emma Smith Berry. She was the owner and operator of The Gingerbread House Daycare and was a homemaker. She was a member of Sandy Springs Family Worship Center. Surviving are her daughter, Faith Bernards of Pendleton; son, Bill Hilley (Leila) of Augusta, GA; 5 grandchildren, Stephen (Suzanne) Price, Brian Price, Lauren Hilley, Erin (Eric) Lairsey and Kristen (Bill) Davis; 7 great grandchildren and a brother, William Ray Berry of Greenville. She was preceded by death by a sister, Elsie Wolfe and brother, Carlton Berry. Graveside service will be at 5pm Monday at New Silver Brook Cemetery with the Revs. Bill Hilley and Gerald Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. The family is at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandy Springs Family Worship Center, P. O. Box 455, Sandy Springs, SC 29677.
