I can't believe the AC published this letter.

Yeah, well by the time we get to vote again, our government will all ready be too late to save! you cant ignore prophecy!

Is this really what the AC put in print??? Please tell me this is a joke of some sort...Irrational rambilings and false platforms is the name of the put it in print game huh ACES? The separation of church and state is for a reason, and no I am not an atheist, I just understand when we put God in politics and government people usually twist things and someone will end up getting burned at the stake, hanged, tortured, or pressed to death...

Should anyone be surprised? This is typical southern white Christian Conservative the world is coming to an end because we don't like Obama as President. White Christian Conservatives no longer think progressively because they are so scared Obama is robbing them of their civil rights, their guns, and plans to let elderly people die in the basements of hospitals to save money. I am happy to announce that white Christian Conservatives have gone crazy!!

cparker, It is amazing how Obama's election brought so much to the surface in people. People often accuse people of playing the race card. I always answer with racism is one of those emotions that takes away people ability to be rational. For example, whites considered blacks to be less than human but practically let them raise their children. Now, you have people who want their America back. Or those who stand up at townhalls and say don't let govt get involved with my Medicare. Or those complaining about SS and Medicare like they were just implemented on Jan 20, 2009. Racism is the only thing I can come up for such irrational behavior particularly since much hasn't changed yet except for the presidents skin color.

How many seconds would it take you to call me a racist if I had posted a letter like yours at 9:09, only changed the words in the last sentence from white Christian conservatives to black liberals?

This is not about racism. IT IS ABOUT COMMUNISM, and MARXISM. It is about the government taking control of every aspect of our lives. DIRECT, TELL ME WHAT TO DO CONTROL. Any racism interjected into this uprising was caused by Obama. He stirred the racism pot with several actions. Giving ACORN a contract to do the census, protecting the New Black Panther voting poll intimidator,appointing an avowed black radical and Communist as a Czar, and Interjecting his mouth into the Gates situation. When you lead a government that takes overt racial actions do not be surprised of the opposite race gets vocal. You should know that cparker. I guess it's racism when whites question government actions but merely "concern" if blacks do it. Hey you shmucks, white people have just a much right to voice their opinions as blacks if you consider that racist, then fine. I must be a racist and I frankly don't give a damn what you think. Get used to it. The noise level is going even higher as long as your president keeps supporting racist measures and Communism. It's not our fault that Obama turned out to be exactly what the Republicans said he would be and now the crossover voters are coming back home.

It's about white people losing their minds since Obama's been president point blank. There are so many ANGRY ones, and we all know they were not angry before his nomination and election. Get real.

I'm shocked a lot more aren't dying from heart disease as they are so affraid and scared, some people can't take the pressure and just die from being overwhelmed, I wonder when that's going to happen to a few.

What is this letter writer talking about? Why is the Chronicle getting into channeling from the alternate universe? Is there some reason why we are going from disinformation to outright chaos?

White Christian Conservatives have truly gone crazy. Who in their right minds would believe the President of the US would openly write a new law to leave elderly people in basements to die to save money? Who would tell the American people they would have to present themselves to a death board before receiving medical help? Who would believe the President wants to abolish private insurance? Terrorism is defined by our military as controlled fear... White Christian Conservatives seem to fit the definition perfectly. They have started going to town hall meetings threatening violence and fighting people of opposing views just like they did in the 1960's. Its scary they act this way, but declare themselves Christians. Their tunnel vision has made the President of the US their greatest enemy and they have found themselves willing to be led away by every lie that proceeds from the mouths Hannity, Rush, or any Fox News affiliate. If they are the model Christians that are expected to show the world how to carryout God's wishes... I am truly afraid for this country.

I am excited for this country that people are speaking up and will not let one president destroy what many people died to defend. Those in congress are voting for laws they don't read. The people read the law and understand it and fight to defeat it. Can anyone see anything wrong with that? Christians keep praying that easy pray to be answered; "that all truth come to light." Boy that is happening now and you are seeing the hearts of people in leadership. What a great day! The truth will make us free and keep us free. There's nothing wrong with this country that a depression and a revival won't fix.

I love and hate reading the opinion page of the AC from a distance. Every issue is anti-Democratic and pro-Christianity and very pro-republican. As I've said before, I left Augusta 40 years ago, and as I read these editorials and letters and postings, I see that almost nothing has changed. I live in very liberal Southern California, and love the diversity. Just on my block are Democrats and Republicans, Catholics, Jews, Koreans, Armenians, Mexicans, and a two gay guys (white and black) sharing a home. All of these are wonderful neighbors, flying their flags on national holidays, cooking barbeque, raising their families, and working hard at their jobs and keeping their homes and yards beautiful. Now, which is the America that most demonstrates what our founders envisioned? A place where all are welcome, or a town full of rednecks from the far right that do nothing but gripe about everything that they don't believe in?

former Augustan I believe America's strength is it's freedom not it's diversity. Without freedom diversity does no good. There is also no freedom in any country without Christ at the center of your life.

soldout... I am all for being radical for Christ, but don't you think you are wrong to think our current President is destroying everything people have fought for? Where have you been the last eight years? Southern white Christian Conservatives are gone crazy and paranoid to think Obama is trying to kill them. LaTwon... First, we are not in Russia. Shouldn't you respect that Obama is open to dialogue with Conservatives? The previous President tried to force feed us his agenda through lies and disceptions and white Christian Conservatives jumped on board without questioning anything. As a matter of fact, they defended the last eight years in a war without evidence or justification. You might need to be suspicious of the people telling you the elderly are going to be killed to save money, or the ones that have told you Americans are going to have death boards, or the ones that call themselves Christians, but start public fights like they are members of a gang. LaTwon, I think that you are a paid robo-poster. Obama has not done away with the Bush/Cheney domestic spy programs but he hasn't expanded them either. He is a Christian whether you like it or not. And as far as internationalists go, you can bet they are in both parties and anxious to keep all the little people scared and arguing with each other over the misinformation that they put out. That way, the focus stays off all their corrupt deeds of socking it to the citizens of both parties and stealing the money out of their pockets. People fear what they don't understand.Many of us in the older generation fear change.Technology is coming at us like a freight train.We don't know what to expect.What will be the crisis for today?With so many half truths & flat out lies in the media & the internet it's hard to separate what is real from what is not.Slow down,investigate,get educated,take part in the political process.Don't believe some e-mail or some talking head on tv.
