Back-to-school events

Several back-to-school parties are scheduled for today, including:

- A block party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Broad Street Ministry Center, 20 Broad St. Call (706) 722-5999.

Health fair at church

A health and safety fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Everfaithful Missionary Baptist Church, 314 Sand Bar Ferry Road. The fair includes speakers, free screenings and food. Call (706) 722-0553.

Singles dance set

The Ga-Lina Christian Singles Club will meet for a free dance lesson from 7 to 8 p.m. and a dance from 8 to 11 p.m. today at Social Inc., 3157 Washington Road.

Financial Peace class

Crossbridge Baptist Church, 3130 Skinner Mill Road, will offer Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University starting at 6 p.m. Sunday. Call (706) 836-3282.

Business men's lunch

The Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International meets at noon every Wednesday at The Golden Corral Restaurant, 227 Bobby Jones Expressway, Martinez.

On Wednesday, evangelist Nancy Haney from Alaska will give her testimony.

On Aug. 12, Sandra Kennedy of Whole Life Ministries will speak.

On Aug. 19, Marty Baker of Stevens Creek Church will give his testimony.
