In search of some Good Samaritans

  • Follow Letters

On Friday, July 10, my husband was involved in a motorcycle / auto accident in front of Papa John's Pizza and Whitehouse Cleaners on North Belair Road in Martinez near the Columbia Road intersection.

We are hoping to contact at least three "Good Samaritans" who stopped to help, as well as any witnesses to the accident.

First is "Pastor Larry," who stopped and called me at my husband's request. Also, two young women came up to me at the accident and introduced themselves, but since I was not thinking logically, I did not ask for their names and contact information. We would like to meet and thank personally one of these in particular -- the young black woman. She held my husband's hand and talked to him to divert his attention from his injuries while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive.

If not for her, he probably would have gone into shock.

We would appreciate hearing from you if you or someone you know is one of these three special people. Please leave a message at (706) 863-1149.

Thanks to anyone who helped out, whether you happened on the scene or were there in the line of duty.

Diana Morris

If you offered a little

If you offered a little reward plenty of good Samaritans would have responded.
