EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. Leroy Meriweather, Jr., 61, of W.A. Reel Drive, entered into rest July 23, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Meriweather, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Mine Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Gary Leroy Meriweather, Philadelphia, Pa.; his mother, Beatrice Meriweather, Edgefield, S.C.; five sisters, Evelyn Meriweather, Greenwood, S.C., Laverne Meriweather, Lancaster, Pa., Gloria Adams, Sharon Meriweather, Edgefield, S.C., and Jackie Ann Gunther, Philadelphia, Pa.; three brothers, Ronald Meriweather, Samuel Meriweather, Edgefield, S.C., and Rufus Meriweather, Greenville, S.C.; three grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the residence or after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev.
