Comments from our readers:

THIS IS A RANT to the Richmond County Board of Education. You should not have to spend $120,000 a year to simply report facts to the public. What do you need to "sell"?

RANTS TO THE AMA and the ABA for not letting their members advertise in the media. Isn't it illegal for other types of businesses to form secret pacts to keep costs up? Why not advertise what an office call costs and how long it should take? If we want to lower health care, allow immigration of foreign doctors, the more the better. Then you would see the prices drop drastically. I don't need a specialist to write the prescription that I must take for the rest of my life, but I must pay for an office visit to get the prescription.

THANKS TO DR. Carol Rountree for your generosity and concern. My daughter was able to register for her classes at Georgia Southern University.

RANTS TO EVERYONE merging onto Bobby Jones from Scott Nixon Memorial Drive. The yield sign is there for a reason. If you do not have the right of way, then you need to stop. I am tired of having to slam on my brakes because people speed through the yield and merge without looking. One of these days there will be a fatal accident because of you.

THIS IS TO THE Richmond County Commission: Is Mike Padgett Highway going to get a suicide lane? There are many neighborhoods, day care and business properties all along Mike Padgett. A suicide lane is really needed. There are so many vehicles traveling Mike Padgett, including logging trucks that cannot slow down quick enough for a vehicle making a turn off Mike Padgett. There have been many accidents and some deaths.

I LOOK AT Mark Sanford on TV and his supporters are clapping their hands and willing to give him a second chance. This man is an adulterer; he's got a wife and four kids; and he's calling his mistress his soul mate; and people want to forgive that. Michael Vick did his time and now he's out and people say he doesn't deserve a second chance. It's funny that you can take a man's life and you can walk away with 24 days, but when a man kills a dog, people don't want him to have a second chance. There's something wrong with this world.

PLEASE, RICHMOND County, don't forget Spanish Trace in your drug raid. There's a couple houses out there.

THIS IS A RANT for the lady talking on the cell phone while turning into her driveway. No, I did not slow down because you did not have your blinker on. Don't look at me like I'm crazy; you're the one on the cell phone turning across traffic with no blinker.

MEDICAL RECORDS ARE the No. 1 source for identity fraud. Every government hospital, doctor, medical society and lobby know this, but they have done nothing about it.
