GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, George O. Eubanks, Jr., age 82 of Graniteville, S.C., beloved husband of the late June Ergle Eubanks and son of the late George O. Eubanks, Sr. and the late Alma Marchant Eubanks. He is survived by a son, Neal Eubanks of Graniteville; daughters and sons-in-law, Georganne and Teddy Weeks of Graniteville and Cathy and Bill Vanca of Columbia; sisters, Linda Sullivan of Aiken and Jewel Murray of New Jersey; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #77 in Warrenville. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was very friendly and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville with Pastor Al Potter officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Bob Hayes, Leon Hayes, Ed Holsonback, Lewis Ready, Tommy Marchant and Ricky Sullivan. The family will receive friends tonight, Thursday, July 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Napier Funeral Home. Memorials, in Mr. Eubanks honor, may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 200 Laurel Dr., Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
