The Atlanta Hawks have reached an agreement to re-sign center Zaza Pachulia to a four-year contract, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The agreement with Pachulia, who has been a starter or top backup for four seasons with the Hawks, comes one day after the team agreed to a three-year deal to re-sign starting point guard Mike Bibby .

LAKERS: Ron Artest signed with the NBA champions, the team he says he wanted to join for years. Artest received a five-year deal worth about $33 million, according to his agent, David Bauman .

CELTICS: Boston signed veteran forward Rasheed Wallace . Terms of the deal were not released. Wallace earned $13.68 million last season as he finished up a five-year contract with Detroit.

SPURS: San Antonio landed free agent Antonio McDyess in a big off-season pickup for the aging NBA power that apparently isn't ready to fade away just yet.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Spurs had their full midlevel exception, worth about $5.85 million this season, to offer the 6-foot-9 forward.

PISTONS: Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva joined Detroit, signaling the start of a new era for the franchise.

Gordon, one of the top free agents this summer, signed a $55 million, five-year contract in leaving the Bulls and Villanueva inked a $35-million, five-year deal as he bid farewell to the Bucks.

ROCKETS: Are still hoping Yao Ming returns next season, but they have been able to cash in on his injury.

The Rockets applied for a disabled player exception from the NBA, betting that their All-Star center will miss next season with a hairline fracture in his left foot.

The NBA agreed that Yao's return is unlikely, freeing up about $5.7 million that the Rockets used to sign free agent Trevor Ariza from the Lakers.

PACERS: Signed former North Carolina star Tyler Hansbrough , the team's top pick in the draft. He's slotted in the NBA's rookie salary scale to receive about $1.5 million this season.

WARRIORS: Stephen Curry , the seventh overall pick in the draft, has signed. He can be paid up to $2.71 million, which is 120 percent of the requirements of the NBA's rookie wage scale for the spot he was chosen.

BOBCATS: Signed guard Gerald Henderson , the 12th pick in the draft. The Duke star will receive about $1.6 million next season.

NUGGETS: Chris "Birdman" Andersen reached a five-year deal with Denver. He could make up to $26 million over the lifetime of a back-loaded contract.
