AUGUSTA, Ga. - Otis H. Martin, 84, entered in to rest on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Mr. Martin retired from the Richmond County Sheriff's Department with over 30 years of service. Following retirement, he worked security for Georgia Pacific where he got to travel all over the Southeastern U.S., K Mart, and at one point he worked 3 jobs, which included being a bagger at Kroger and a Bailiff at the Courthouse. Otis was a 50 year member of the Masons. Otis is survived by his daughter, Vicki Pasley of Atlanta, GA; son, Walton "Buddy" (Karen) Satcher of North Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Michael Rickard of Atlanta, GA, Walton (Crystin) Satcher, Jr. of Monterey, CA, Brandon Satcher of North Augusta, SC, Lynlee Satcher of North Augusta, SC; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Virginia Blackburn. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. John Tate officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
