MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mr. Tommy Jones of Collins Drive entered into rest Saturday, July 4, 2009, at this residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Crawford Grove Baptist Church, Evans, Ga., with Rev. Douglas Mazyck officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. He was a native of Columbia County, Ga., a member of Crawford Grove Baptist Church, and a retired carpenter. Survivors are his wife, Margaret Jones; children, David (Kimmie) Jones, Woodstock, Ga., Libby (Kephern) Murphy, Smyrna, Ga., and Tony (RoKeya) Jones, Atlanta, Ga.; mother, Louise Jones, Martinez, Ga.; five grandsons; two granddaughters; brothers and sisters, Sammie (Cathy) Jones, Sr., Evans, Ga., Lorene (Jim) Choice, Freddie Jones, Martha Ellison, Robert (Janet) Jones, Martinez, Ga., Charles Jones, Henry Jones, Albert Jones, Virginia J. Brown, Augusta; four aunts; father-in-law, Louis Curry, Martinez; four sisters- in law; six brothers-in-law. Georgia Power Co. reported Fri­day that Plant Vogtle's expansion is progressing as planned after the Waynesboro, Ga., facility's budget and schedule were revised earlier this year to reflect an 18-month delay and a $246 million increase in costs.
