EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. W. Lonnie Quarles, 83, of Sheppard Dr., husband of Elise McDowell Quarles, died Wednesday 7-1-09 at his Residence. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 7-4-2009 at 11 A.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home with burial in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Mr. Quarles was born in Plum Branch, S.C. and was a Retired Supervisor with Plastics, Inc. He was a member of the Edgefield First Baptist Church and was a member of the Concordia Lodge # 50 as a 50 year mason. He was a veteran of WW II Army Air Corps. Mr. Quarles was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Survivors include his wife, 3 daughters- Marcia Quarles, Edgefield, Anne Wood, Columbia, Kathy Wilkerson, North Augusta, 3 Sisters- Doris Bryan, Greenwood, Mary Shaffer, West Columbia, Brenda Cassells, Greer, 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
