For the general public, the FDA provides a valuable service, especially in light of the failing education system. The federal agency doesn't take individualism into account and can be very intrusive.
Please take the time to study the effects of recent bills affecting farming and dairy production. Some of these bills would effectively drive many small farmers out of business.
Please support House Resolution 778, since it is an effort to allow consumers to retain their rights to choose what they will consume without Food and Drug Administration regulations.
Stand up for consumers and small farmers.

Intrusive. A word that generally describes all of our government agencies and it's getting worse. And for what. FDA regulation has given us drugs on the market that kill us, an epedimic of kids that are practically comatose on mind altering drugs (when all they really needed was their bottom paddled), and repeated outbreaks of tainted food. How many think the FDA really does a good job? Not I. They are merely the "clean up crew" after the people are dead from bad drugs or tainted food. Admittedly, that is a necessary service but the FDA does not provide much "prevention" for all of their expensive and intrusive regulation.
