Bobbie Thomas Furman (ALLENDALE, S.C.)

ALLENDALE, S.C. - Bobbie Thomas Furman, 86, wife of Clyde Edward Furman, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at Allendale County Hospital. Mrs. Furman, a native of Allendale County, was the daughter of the late Coy and Jessie Harvey Thomas. Mrs. Furman was a longtime member of the Fairfax Garden and Study Club and served as the correspondence Secretary. She worked at Allendale County Court House for 52 years and retired in 1995 as the Allendale County Auditor. Mrs. Furman was a lifelong member of Harmony Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2009 at Harmony Baptist Church with the Reverend Ted Still and Reverend Charles Hattaway officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairfax Cemetery. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Clyde Edward Furman and a daughter Bonnie Jean Furman both of Allendale. She was preceded in death by a half brother Lockwood Thomas. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Keith Smith Funeral Service, 128 Water Street, Allendale.
