STAPLETON, Ga. - Mr. Glynn Wallace, 64, husband of 30 years to Norma Seigler Wallace, entered into rest Sunday, June 28, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at James Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11:00AM with the Rev. Scott Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Waldens U.M.C., Avera, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Wednesday morning from 9:30AM - 10:30AM and immediately following the graveside service in Walden UMC's Fellowship Hall. Glynn was born Sept. 25, 1944 in Savannah, GA. He graduated from Bay High School in Panama City, FL and then served our country with pride during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post #229, The Seekers Relay For Life Team and a former member of the United Methodist Men. He loved to collect and build model cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Faye Spence Wallace. Survivors include his sisters, Faith (Ed) Farmer, Panama City, FL, and Carmen Hunter, Venice, FL; mother-in-law, Mildred B. Seigler, Augusta, GA; uncles, Charles (Doris) Wallace, Millen, GA and Rev. Scott (Kit) Hill, Norfolk, VA; aunts, Peggy Wallace, Dublin, GA and Grace Lovingood, Cartersville, GA; his many nephews, nieces and cousins; and his "fuzzy children"- the bovines, the felines and the canines. Pallbearers will be Hugh Avery, Jimmy Black, Charlie Davis, Eldon Ensz, Gary Rhodes, and Wayne Smith.
