Jane White Huguley (GREENVILLE, S.C.)

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Jane White Huguley, age 95, widow of William Gaines Huguley, Sr. died Sunday, June 28, 2009. She was a native of Decatur, Georgia and a daughter of the late Mark Greer and Beulah Hays White. Upon moving to Greenville from Augusta, GA in 1954, Mrs. Huguley became a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. She remained a faithful and active member for more than fifty years. She was a member of the Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class and was very involved with the Women's Society of Christian Service, and the Anderson Road Mission. She was a very beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She is survived by her loving family, children, William Gaines Huguley, Jr. and wife, Austin of Greenville, Jane Huguley Dennis of Augusta, GA, Patricia Huguley Langley of Greenville and Mark White Huguley and wife, Sally of Columbia; grandchildren, William Gaines Huguley III and wife, Kendall of Greenville, Elizabeth Wilder Huguley of Greenville; Greer White Huguley and wife, Laura of Greenville, Ruth Dennis Bovard and husband, Greer of Augusta, GA, Adelle Dennis King and husband, Paul of Augusta, GA, Patricia Dennis MacDougal and husband, Kent of Yonges Island, SC, B. Russell Langley III and wife, Robin of Charlotte, NC, Christopher Ferrell Langley and wife, Beth of Pauline, SC, Brian Hays Langley and wife, Kerry of Suwanee, GA, Mary Hays Huguley and Mark White Huguley, Jr., both of Columbia; and eighteen great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Jane White Huguley will be Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11am at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. The Reverends Jerry Temple and Grover Putnan will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Private Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
