Augusta Idol contest held Friday at ASU

Television station WFXG Channel 54 will hold the fourth annual Augusta Idol competition on Friday, July 10, at the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre at Augusta State University.

Only the first 100 contestants will be allowed to audition. Hopefuls can start lining up at the venue at 2 p.m., and the competition will begin at 7 p.m. The winner will receive hotel accommodations and air fare to the Season 9 auditions in Denver on July 14.
