As a photojournalist, my job is to record the events of history as they unfold. In 1984, the Jacksons' Victory Tour was the concert event of the year -- the one show no one wanted to miss. Michael Jackson was the undisputed King of Pop -- the biggest musical star in the world, and I was assigned to cover his performance at the Orange Bowl in Miami.

A performer who came alive on stage and seemed to lose himself completely in the music, Mr. Jackson put everything he had into the two Miami shows. He electrified the fans with his patented leg kicks and dance moves. I captured a rare moment when he pulled open his jacket and shirt.

The Miami show I covered had the highest attendance of the tour's 55 concerts: 68,000 people were there and 66,000 came the next night.

A total of 2 million fans turned out for the Victory Tour -- which reportedly grossed $75 million and set a record for the highest-grossing tour. This was the last time all five of the Jackson brothers toured together.
