WILLISTON, S.C. - Funeral services for Mr. William A. Sanders will be held Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Summer Grove Missionary Baptist Church, White Pond Community, Williston, S.C. with the Reverend Wilbur A. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Sanders, the son of the late William A. Sanders, Sr. and Louise Sanders, was born in Barnwell County. He was a member of the Summer Grove Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher Ministry and the Men Fellowship. He was a graduate of Martha Schofield High School, class of 1961. Survivors are his wife, Justine Simmons Sanders, of the home; one son, Gregory Sanders, Rahway, N.J.; one sister, Dorothy Sanders, Waycross, Ga.; three brothers, Terry (Barbara) Sanders, Aiken, S.C., Arthur L. (Elizabeth) Sanders, North Augusta, S.C. and Charles (Judy) Sanders, Beaverton, Ore.; ten brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be Friday from 12 to 9 p.m. at the Simmons Memorial Chapel of Elko, 803-266-2939.
