Roger Dean Martin (DEARING, Ga.)

DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Roger Dean Martin, 57, beloved husband of Mrs. Beth H. Martin, Augusta Hwy, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Emory University, in Atlanta. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 22, in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Sutphin, Rev. Jimmy Martin, and Rev. Tony Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Martin was a native of Lincoln County, but had lived in Dearing for many years. He was a retired Master Mechanic. He was a Deacon and faithful member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beth H. Martin, Dearing; two daughters, Karen Wellman, Lake Wales Fl., and Amber Martin, Dearing: two sons, Dean Martin and Jake Martin, both of Dearing; his mother, Doris Martin Inglett, Thomson; two brothers, Jimmy Martin, Thomson and Wayne Inglett, Dearing; and three grandchildren, Robin Martin, Shane Martin, and Brandon Martin. Pallbearers will be Tony Horne Jr., Jim Lewis, Callaway Workman, Tim Clary, Brad Story, and Wayne Inglett. The family request that Donations be made to the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Building Fund. Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday night at the funeral home.
