Tyron C. Knight (GROVETOWN, Ga.)

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Tyron C. Knight, Jr. entered into rest Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, Ga., the husband of Mrs. Judy Adams Knight. Family members in addition to his wife are: one son, Chris (Amber Magel) Blizard, Savannah, Ga.; three daughters, Launna (David) Bishop, Spokane, Wash., Maria Knight, Grovetown, Ga., Kaci (Raymond) Williams, Thomson, Ga.; his mother, Freda (Charles) Murphy, North Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren, Lauren and Kristen Blizard, Jonas Bishop, Alexus Duckworth, Treyton Pack, Landon Williams. Mr. Knight was born in Houston, Texas. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a retired Electrical Instructor and Civil Service Employee at Ft. Gordon. He was a Mason with the Harlem Lodge. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. At 7 p.m., a memorial service will be held in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewain French officiating. To honor Mr. Knight's request, he will be cremated.
