AUGUSTA, Ga. - Memorial services for Jessica Day Murphy, 30, of Augusta, Georgia, who entered into rest, will be conducted Monday evening at 7 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Jessica was a native of Buford, Georgia, having made Augusta her home for the past 2 years. She was a 1997 graduate of Buford High School and attended Rhinehart College. Jessica was the Obituary Coordinator for the Athens Banner News and the Augusta Chronicle. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Clint & Judy Day, Tipton, Michigan; mother and stepfather, Lynn & Tom Twitty, Augusta; paternal grandparents, Horace & Evelyn Day; maternal grandparents, Harry & Cholena Emmette, all of Beech Island; an uncle, Michael (Connie) Emmette, Evans; four aunts, Laurie (Brooks) Smith, Amanda (Monte) Horn, all of North Augusta, Robin McGee, Myrtle Beach, SC and Lisa Cummings, Augusta; cousins, Dannon Baker, Shanna Smith, Amy Smith, Drew Emmette and Cody Cummings; aunt by marriage, Barbara Crowell; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 until the hour of the service. The family will be at the residence of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Emmette, 315 Beech Island Avenue, Beech Island, SC.
