NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Ronald E. Ellison, 59, husband of Marilyn Ellison, of Calbrieth Circle, entered into rest Friday, June 19, 2009 at University Hospital. His funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2009 in the Rowland Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jackie Robinson and Mr. Ward Aston officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park. Mr. Ellison was a lifetime resident of North Augusta. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta and a member of the PSC Sunday School Class. He retired from the Local Pipe Fitter's Union #150. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Jake. Additional survivors include a son, James Luther (Luke) Ellison; a daughter, Erica Ellison, both of Augusta; a brother, James Ellison (Cheryl); three sisters, Julie Jones (Phil), Kathleen Moses (Earl) and Carolyn Gunter (Ronnie) and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kendrick, Jim Shackelford, Danny Taylor, Bill Corley, Al Long and Craig Bannecke. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the PSC Sunday School Class and the Local Union #150. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 this evening Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association 2050 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.
