AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Archie O. Carter, Jr., age 69, absent from the body present with the Lord on June 16, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Carter. Archie Carter was the owner operator, of Carter's Paint and Body Shop in Jackson, S.C. Mr. Carter is the beloved son of the late Archie and Viola Carter, Sr. He will be missed by his daughters, Tonia Crews, Angie Crews (Ricky), Sandra Morris; grandchildren, Ryan Crews, Lyndon Crews and Taylor Crews; sister, Barbara Moyer (the late Bobby Moyer); brothers, Charles Carter, Donnie Carter; nieces and nephews, Larry Moyer, Kathy Atkinson, Kim Carter, the late Mark Moyer. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until at 1834 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA. The memorial service will be held at Woodridge Baptist Church in Clearwater, S.C., Friday, June 19, 2009 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Ron Hasty and Pastor D.J. Daly officiating. Memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 2919 Professional Parkway Suite A, Augusta, GA 30907. The family would like to thank Regency Hospice for the loving care provided to Archie.
