Rachel Curry (EDGEFIELD, S.C.)

EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mrs. Rachel Daugett Curry, 79, of Peaceful Creek Road, entered into rest June 16, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Republican Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Wanda Austine and Willie Patten officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Curry, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Trinity A.M.E. Church. Survivors include her husband, Henry Curry of the home; a daughter, Helen (John) Harris, Troutman, N.C.; two sons, George (Gwendolyn) Curry, Piscataway, N.J., and Dennis (Renetta) Curry, Sacramento, Calif.; four sisters, Esther Jackson and Edna Jackson, Edgefield, S.C., Correan Budsock, Clayton, N.C., and Helen Lee, Newark, N.J.; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
